Sky Colour: Why is the color of the sky blue, what is the science behind it

Sky Colour: Have you ever wondered why the color of the sky is blue? When you look at the open sky, the whole sky appears in blue colour. And as soon as the evening comes, it also changes its color, do you know why this happens? Generally, many people believe that the color of the sea is blue, therefore the color of the sky is also blue, but let us tell you that scientists do not believe this. According to scientists, it is a scientific region due to which the sky appears blue during the day and changes its color in the evening. Today, we will understand about this, what is the scientific reason, due to which the color of the sky is blue and it also keeps on changing color according to time.

Why is it blue after all?

According to scientists, the reason for the blue color of the sky is the connection with the Sun. That is, if understood in simple language, the sun decides what the color of the sky will be. There are small particles (dust) in our earth's atmosphere which are not visible to us with naked eyes. When sunlight falls on these particles, they break into seven colours. Which we call Vibgyor. It includes violet, indigo, blue, green, yellow, orange and red. When the sun's rays break, the shortest wavelengths are of blue and indigo. Whereas, most of the waves are of red colour. Due to which indigo and blue colors get scattered in the sky, due to which the color of the sky is blue.

The color of the sky changes in the morning and evening
You all must have often seen that the color of the sky changes in the morning and evening. The color of the sky turns orange or red at the time of sunrise and sunset. There is science behind this too. According to science, the Earth is closer to the Sun at the time of sunrise and sunset. At that time the heat of the sun also decreases. The orange color changes more than the blue and green colors, due to which the orange color becomes dominant over the rest of the colors. That's why the color of the sky is red or orange in the morning and evening.

Is the color of the ocean blue due to the rays of the sun?
You must have seen that the color of the sea appears blue from a distance, but if you look closely at the sea water, it is transparent, that is, there is no color. There is science behind this too. Let us tell you that water observes colors very fast. Just as the sky appears blue because of the sun's rays, in the same way water also observes the colors emanating from the sun's rays. The blue color reflects, due to which the ocean water is blue.
